HOPE HAS A NAME: JOSHUA READY TO ARRIVE IN SELECT MOVIE THEATRES APRIL 19

Tony Goldwyn Plays Charismatic Lead Role in Film Based on International Best Seller

Los Angeles - February 2001 - Joshua, the anticipated major motion picture based on Joseph Girzone's international best-seller, will be making its debut in select cities on April 19, it was announced today by Epiphany Films, the company releasing the film. Versatile actor/director Tony Goldwyn (Bounce, An American Rhapsody, Ghost), stars as a charismatic stranger whose arrival has a profound impact on a small town, bringing the community together in unforeseen ways. Directed by Jon Purdy (Star Portal, Dillinger and Capone) with a screenplay by Brad Mirman and Keith Giglio, Joshua also stars Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham (Finding Forrester, 13 Ghosts, Amadeus), and screen legend Giancarlo Giannini (Hannibal).

As part of Epiphany's multi-faceted marketing and promotions campaign, the movie release of Joshua will be augmented by a Simon & Schuster re-release of the original version of the book, available in bookstores across the U.S. in late February. In addition, a virtual "Who's Who" of Christian music will bring their blend of inspirational tunes to the soundtrack. The 16-track compilation on Word Records features six originally recorded songs specific to the movie Joshua by distinctive artists Jaci Velasquez, Pete Orta, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith, Brooks & Dunn, and Nicole C. Mullen with Mark Schultz in an exclusive duet. The album also boasts songs by Dove Award-winning Third Day, Rachael Lampa, Cindy Morgan and Anointed. Word Records will release the soundtrack on April 2.
