Fr. Mitch Pacwa to Speak in Naperville, IL

Host of the Mother Angelica Live Show, Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J To give a talk at Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, Naperville, IL. on December 4th at 7:30pm.

This event will feature Father Mitch Pacwa, S.J. Father Mitch will bring his extensive knowledge of Sacred Scripture, Church history and Catholic apologetics to our area. His lecture and fellowship will be on his latest book entitled "Some Heard Thunder, Some Heard God".

The Jesuit priest has appeared regularly on EWTN since 1984 and as of February of 2002 assumed the hosting duty of the Mother Angelica Live Show, the network's popular weekly program on Wednesdays at 8pm. CentralTime. Father Pacwa also hosts the new series "Threshold of Hope" in which he teaches the core of the Encyclicals of Pope John Paul II. In his talk, entitled "Some Heard Thunder, Some Heard God" Father Mitch Pacwa will touch on what effect has the modern world had on the Catholic Church? Why is dissension in the Church so common? Did the current tide of heterodoxy begin with Vatican II? What can be done?

In Some Heard Thunder, Some Heard God, Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. offers profound insight into the problems now facing the Catholic Church and explains the ideologies driving these problems. From Darwinism to Marxism to Existentialism, Fr. Pacwa examines the philosophies that have adversely affected the climate of the Church and her leadership. He shows how such attitudes have crept into the Church and what can be done to combat them. Fr. Pacwa offers hope for the future and presents ways in which you can play your part in the "new springtime of Christianity" heralded by John Paul II.
