Cáritas Almería (Espańa) pidió a las empresas y sociedad en general colaborar para restituir la tonelada de alimentos, ropa y material que sufrió el pasado 8 de diciembre la parroquia de Santa María de Belén, situada en el distrito de La Chanca.

MADRID (ACI/EWTN Noticias) - Caritas Almería indicó que esto es necesario para poder llevar a cabo el reparto anual que se realiza cada Navidad a quienes más lo necesitan, y que "donde sea posible, se realice una recogida extraordinaria de alimentos base con el fin de compartir con estas humildes familias la celebración del nacimiento de Cristo."

Tras el robo las Caritas parroquiales de los demás distritos de Almería se han movilizado para ayudar a los afectados.

Salvador Ayala, director de Caritas de la parroquia afectada, ha asegurado que se ha perdido todo el material que la comunidad había preparado para repartir entre las 386 familias que se benefician con las ayudas.

"Los vecinos, que son los mismos que reciben nuestra ayuda, están trayendo lo poco que tienen para compartirlo con todos. Este es un barrio pobre," aseguró Salvador Ayala.

Tanto el director de Caritas de la parroquia de Santa María de Belén como el párroco de ésta han asegurado que confían en la solidaridad de los almerienses ayudará a reponer los 1.000 kilos de alimentos y ropa sustraídos, porque "tanto dentro como fuera del barrio están volcados con su iglesia."
