St. Felician of Foligno

Martyred bishop of Foligno, Italy, a disciple of Pope St. Eleutherius. Pope St. Victor I bestowed the pallium on Felician, the first bishop recorded as receving it. After a half century as a bishop, Felician was arrested and tortured. Because of the severity of his beatings, he died on the way to Rome and execution. A woman named Messalina visited Feician in prison and was martyred.
