
St. Calepodius
Facts
Roman martyr with Palmatius, Simplicius, Felix, Blanda, and companions. They suffered under Emperor Severus Alexander in the pontificate of St. Callistus I. Calepodius was a priest and the first of the group to suffer. His name is honored by a Roman catacomb. St. Palmatius was of consular rank, and he died with his wife, children, and household. St. Simplicius was a senator who suffered death with sixty-five members of his family and household. Sts. Felix and Blanda were husband and wife.
