Yazidi women lucky enough to escape the iron clutches of the Islamic States as sex slaves. They tell of being raped as many as times as five times a day and being sold like heads of cattle.
Glaswegian teenager Aqsa Mahmood, who calls herself Umm Layth, has offered advice to would-be jihadis on what to bring.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Twenty-one year-old Bushra, 17-year-old Munira and 22-year-old Noor, say they were abused on a regular basis. Among the tortures they suffered were being burnt with cigarettes, being tied up and gang-raped. Their names have been changed to protect their identity.
The women, after escaping Iraq were flown to the United Kingdom by international charity AMAR. The organization helps people rebuild their lives following conflict.
The women are sharing their stories in the hopes of dissuading impressionable young Muslim girls from joining the terror group in Syria and Iraq.
"The man who had bought me took me to hospital," Bushra says. "He told me he was going to rape me that same day, however ill I made myself. He took me home, tied up my hands and feet, and raped me.
"He raped me about five times a day. My sister was barely 14 when they raped her.
"I could hear her screaming but I couldn't do anything as I was tied up."
The disappearance of 15-year-old Bristol pupil Yusra Hussien, recruited by ISIS last year, prompted the lecture.
Three teenagers from City Academy, which Yusra attended, travelled to the capital to be at the talk.
Another jihadi bride Munira told how she was first raped as a 15-year-old by a man four times her age.
"We were held in a tiny room with a small window. They told us we were their sex slaves. They raped girls as young as six as well as adults.
"I was in a terrible mental state. I was devastated. I was alone. He raped me every day. Because of the constant rapes I bled, and my body was in agony.
"I used to cry every day. I missed my family and my little sisters.'
Noor says she was burned with cigarettes after she tried to escape from the group. She was captured in August last year.
"They began to choose the girls. The girls were shouting, screaming and vomiting," Noor told the students.
"He brought some honey. He would dip his big toe in honey, and put his toe in my mouth.
"My message is, don't go. You will be raped and beaten and sold to other men. They are criminals!
"He burned me with cigarettes, on my shoulders, my stomach and legs. I didn't even have the strength to speak after that."
