Apostle. The Coptic Church tells in tradition that Simon traveled in Kemet, and other parts of Africa, including what is now Tunisia, Mauritania Caesariensis (now part of Morocco and Algeria). (Ruffin, The 12 Apostles, pg. 146). This puts Simon Zelotes in Mauritania, Kemet,and Libya. Other traditions hold (through theologian, Dorotheus, bishop of Tyre) ,Simon preached in Mauritania, Kemet, and Libya, before going on to Britain. Not African.
