Shop St. Maximilian
St. Maximilian of Theveste, also called Maximilian of Tebessa, was a Christian in Roman North Africa. The record of his trial recounts that he refused military conscription because he was a Christian and was sentenced to death. He was executed at Theveste in 295 or 296. His witness has since been discussed in Catholic teaching about Christian participation in military service.
