Saint Pedro Nolasco Soler Méndez was a Spanish Franciscan friar who served the Catholic mission in Damascus. Born in Lorca, he entered religious life and dedicated himself to prayer, the sacraments, and the education and spiritual care of Christians in the Holy Land.

During the persecution of Christians in Damascus in July 1860, Friar Pedro protected the vulnerable and refused to deny the faith. He was killed in the Franciscan convent together with other friars and lay Maronite Christians. He was canonized by Pope Francis on October 20, 2024, among the Martyrs of Damascus.
