Saint Pedro de Arbués was a Spanish canon regular and professor of canon law who became one of the first inquisitors of the Spanish Inquisition. Born in Épila, he entered the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine and served the Church through teaching, preaching, and pastoral ministry.

While praying before the altar in the cathedral of Zaragoza, he was attacked and killed by conspirators on September 17, 1485. The Church honors him as a martyr who died while carrying out his ecclesiastical office. He was canonized by Pope Pius IX in 1867.
