Shop St. Castor of Apt
Bishop and founder, possibly the brother of St. Leontius of Frejus. Born in Nimes, France, he married a wealthy widow from Marseilles and, with her consent, entered the religious life. He founded the Monanque Monastery in Provence. Castor became abbot and then the bishop of Apt. St. John Cassian wrote De Institutis Coenobiorum at Castor's request.
