Maria Crucified Satellico grew up with her uncle who was a priest. Maria was a sickly child, but was strong in prayer, music and singing.Maria was a student in the Poor Clare Monastery of Ostra Vetere, and responsible for singing and playing the organ. Joined the Poor Clares at age 19, she made her religious profession on 19 May 1726, taking the name Maria Crucified. Abbess of her community.
