Glycerius was a priest who suffered during the bloody persecution waged against Christians by the pagan Roman emperor Diocletian. At Nicomedia (Izmit, Turkey), Glycerius was subjected to a protracted series of tortures, at the conclusion of which he was burned at the stake.
