Little girl looking Dear readers, May 11–15 is Monthly Giving Week. Monthly recurring donors are vital to keeping our mission alive. After being de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs, Catholic Online lost essential services supporting millions of families and now over 2.1 million students worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70’s, gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. A monthly gift of just $5 helps rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you. Help Now >

Virgin martyr of Caudry, near Cambrai, France. She was the daughter of Humolin and Ameltrudis, and she fled a proposed marriage with Harduin of Solesmes. Maxellendis wanted to become a nun, and when she was discovered by Harduin and his escort, she fought to escape him. Harduin killed Maxellendis with his sword and was struck blind. His sight was restored when he knelt for forgiveness beside Maxellendis’ coffin when her remains were retumed to Caudry in 673.
