Five anonymous groups, among the many thousands, who suffered death in Persia in the name of the faith.

(date unknown) Forty-two martyrs put to death in an unknown year. Feast day: March 10 (date unknown) A group of 310 martyrs executed in an uncertain year. Feast day: May 9 (d. 345) One hundred and twenty martyrs, believed to have suffered under Shapur II, the king of Persia. Feast day: April 6 (d. 376) A large number of martyrs put to death by the Persian ruler Shapur II on Good Friday. These martyrs include 25 bishops, 250 priests and deacons, and scores of other religious and nuns. Feast day: April 22 (d. sixth century) Martyrs slain under the Persian rulers of the region. Feast day: February 8
