Saint Luis Batis Sáinz was a Mexican diocesan priest who served the Catholic faithful during the persecution of the Church. Born in San Miguel del Mezquital, he was devoted to the Eucharist, Christian education, and the formation of young people.

He was arrested while preparing young Catholics for the sacraments and was killed because he refused to abandon his priestly ministry. Pope John Paul II canonized him among the Mexican martyrs in 2000.
