Saint Eluned was a Welsh virgin and martyr who devoted herself to Christ during the early evangelization of Britain. Christian tradition remembers her as a woman who chose fidelity to the Gospel rather than surrender to worldly demands.

Eluned was killed because of her Christian faith, and the place associated with her martyrdom became a site of devotion. The Church honors her as a witness to the courage and purity of the early British saints.
