Saint Pancras of Taormina was an early bishop and missionary who proclaimed the Gospel in Sicily. Christian tradition remembers him as a pastor who received the faith from the apostolic age and labored to establish the Church in Taormina.

Pancras suffered martyrdom because he refused to abandon Jesus Christ. His witness helped preserve the memory of the early evangelization of Sicily and continues to be honored in the Church of Taormina.
