Saint Pamphilus of Caesarea was a priest, biblical scholar, and martyr of the early Church. He devoted himself to the study and preservation of Sacred Scripture and helped form a Christian library at Caesarea.

Pamphilus endured imprisonment and torture during the persecution of the Emperor Galerius. He refused to deny Christ and was put to death with companions for the Catholic faith. The Church honors him as a learned pastor whose scholarship served the Gospel.
