Saint Ovidius was an early bishop associated with Braga in the Iberian Peninsula. He served the Christian community during the first generations of the Church and is traditionally remembered as one of the pastors who helped establish the faith in that region.

Through preaching, instruction, and the celebration of the sacred mysteries, Ovidius strengthened the faithful and handed on the apostolic tradition. His memory remains part of the ancient Christian heritage of Braga.
