Saint Margarito Flores García was a Mexican diocesan priest who served the faithful during the persecution of the Catholic Church. Born in Taxco, Guerrero, he studied for the priesthood and was known for his zeal in preaching the Gospel and administering the sacraments.
When public ministry was suppressed, he continued to serve Catholics in secret. He was captured and executed at Tulimán on November 12, 1927, rather than abandon his priestly mission. Pope John Paul II canonized him among the Mexican martyrs in 2000.
