Saint Gaspar del Bufalo was an Italian diocesan priest and founder of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Born in Rome, he dedicated himself to preaching missions, catechesis, and the renewal of Christian life through devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus.

He endured exile and opposition while defending the Church and working for the conversion of sinners. His preaching united zeal with compassion, and his congregation continued his apostolate among clergy and laity. He was canonized by Pope Pius XII in 1954.
