Saint Godfried van Duynen was a Dutch diocesan priest and one of the Martyrs of Gorkum. He remained faithful to the Eucharist, the priesthood, and the authority of the Church when Catholic clergy were imprisoned and threatened. He was killed at Brielle on July 9, 1572, and canonized with the other Martyrs of Gorkum by Pope Pius IX.
