Saint Cristóbal of Tlaxcala was a young Mexican convert and the first martyr of the New World recognized by the Catholic Church. He rejected the worship of idols and helped lead his family toward the Christian faith. Because of his witness to Christ, he was killed while still a boy and is honored as a patron of the young Church in Mexico.
