Saint Septimius of Iesi was the first bishop of Iesi in central Italy and a martyr of the early Church. According to tradition, he was converted to Christianity through the preaching of the Gospel and later received episcopal consecration for the mission of Iesi.

Septimius strengthened the young Christian community through preaching, baptism, and pastoral care. He was condemned and killed for refusing to sacrifice to pagan gods around the year 307. The Church honors him as the patron and founding bishop of Iesi.
