Saint Toribio Romo González was a Mexican diocesan priest and martyr who served the Catholic faithful during the persecution of the Church. Born in Santa Ana de Guadalupe, he was known for his priestly zeal and his love for the sacraments and the people entrusted to him.

He continued to celebrate the sacraments in secret after public worship was suppressed. Toribio was captured and killed at Tequila on February 25, 1928, after refusing to abandon his priesthood. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II on May 21, 2000.
