
St. Liphardus
Facts
Abbot founder of Meung-sur Loire, France, also called Lifard. A successful judge in Orleans, Liphardus became a hermit at the age of forty in a ruined castle with a companion, Urbicius. So many disciples gathered that Liphardus was ordained and founded the monastery.
