Martyr of Japan, a ship captain. He brought Blessed Peter Zuniga and Louis Flores to Japan on his ship but was captured by Dutch Protestant pirates and taken to Firando, Japan. He and his crew, all members of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary, were beheaded at Nagasaki. He was beautified in 1967.
