Martyr of Japan. Ferdinand was born in Ballesteros, Spain. In 1603, he became an Augustinian and was sent to the missions of Mexico and then to Japan. He became the vicar provincial in 1605. With Blessed Aiphonsus Navarette, he was arrested at Omura and beheaded.
