English martyr. Born in Westmoreland, England, he worked for a time as a schoolmaster. Leaving England, he went to Douai, France, where he studied for the priesthood and received ordination before returning home under the alias of Wison to assist the Catholic cause in London. Arrested for being a priest, he was hanged, drawn, and quartered at Tyburn with Blessed John Roberts.
