We ask you, urgently: don't scroll past this
Dear readers, Catholic Online was de-platformed by Shopify for our pro-life beliefs. They shut down our Catholic Online, Catholic Online School, Prayer Candles, and Catholic Online Learning Resources essential faith tools serving over 1.4 million students and millions of families worldwide. Our founders, now in their 70's, just gave their entire life savings to protect this mission. But fewer than 2% of readers donate. If everyone gave just $5, the cost of a coffee, we could rebuild stronger and keep Catholic education free for all. Stand with us in faith. Thank you.Help Now >

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - According to several sources including Google Analytics, Nielsen, TV By the Numbers, Deadline and TV Guidelines, as of Thursday, October 15, 2015, the cable news race appears as follows:
FOXNEWS O'REILLY 2,820,000Catholic Online 2,114,255
FOXNEWS KELLY 2,101,000
FOXNEWS BAIER 2,006,000
FOXNEWS FIVE 1,934,000
FOXNEWS GRETA 1,670,000
FOXNEWS HANNITY 1,488,000
MSNBC MADDOW 1,031,000
CMDY DAILY SHOW 829,000
MSNBC HAYES 808,000
MSNBC HARDBALL 870,000
MSNBC ODONNELL 696,000
CNN COOPER 572,000
Despite the thousands of viewers checking in with their favorite news stations each day, streaming news, available online 24/7, has eclipsed these numbers with Variety reporting 72 percent of people aged 14-25 turning to streaming video for their news updates. Generation X - ages 32-48 - continue to turn to cable, however 43 percent admit they have turned to streaming.
The Huffington Post indicates YouTube is "crushing" Cable TV across the age-board specifically due to the increase in mobile streaming devices such as smart phones and tablets.
Forbes announced that more and more young adults are turning away from traditional cable television, which often comes with hundreds of channels with little interesting content and severe financial penalties for cancellations, in favor of streaming devices such as ChromeCast, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire Sticks.
Each device allows its audience to receive live streams for all major news networks but because the information is available live, certain edits must be made.
With everything that is going on around the world, particularly in the Middle East - children as young as two getting raped and tossed onto the streets, women forced into abortions so they can be sex slaves, young boys forced to join terrorist organizations - it's important for people to head to news sources that refuse to edit content to present a lighter version of reality for its potentially underage audience.
This is why so many viewers turn to Catholic Online. Though there are obvious religious connotations, 100 percent of the information is available and comes with warnings in the titles of the more brutal articles. We cover content other companies have been bullied, paid or otherwise convinced to take down from their sites. Turn to Catholic Online when you want full-coverage.
