Strawberry season!

Try a strawberry chiffon pie recipe from the Anniversary Slovak-American Cook Book.

STRAWBERRY CHIFFON PIE 1 ½ cups crushed strawberries ¾ cup sugar 2 or 3 tablespoons of lemon juice 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin ¼ cup cold water 1 cup heavy cream, whipped Combine berries, sugar and lemon juice. Let stand 30 minutes. Soften gelatin in cold water and dissolve over hot water. Add to fruit mixture and chill until partially set. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into graham cracker crust. Graham cracker crust: Crush 12 graham crackers (1 ½ cups crumbs), add 1/3 cup sugar and 1/2 cup melted butter or shortening. Mix well. Press firmly in greased 8-inch pie pan. Chill until set.
