A man from Britain woke up to a very unlikely and disgusting surprise. After waking up, the man felt as though he had to let out a cough due to the "large phlegm ball" he was feeling inside. To his surprise, he found something completely more nauseating than mucus.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - According to 52-year-old Phil Lyndon's entry on GetWestLondon, after examining the thing he coughed out, he noticed that is was actually a 5mm long insect.
He explained that he "had a bad cough for a little while and went to the doctors last Thursday. He gave me antibiotics and on Friday morning I coughed up what I thought was a big lump of phlegm into the toilet."
"I then looked a little closer as I could see something brown in it and it was wriggling."
He told GetWestLondon that he could not believe what he was seeing, so he fished it out. "It had stopped moving by this point and I took a picture of it on my iPad. When I zoomed into the image I could clearly see that it was a bug."
As a plan of action, Lyndon went back to his doctor to ask for an explanation regarding his experience. He was told to have a consultation at the University College London's Hospital for Tropical Diseases, where Lyndon had an X-ray.
There were no other insects, bugs or other problems found in his assessment.
As for the disgusting, creepy invertebrate that Lyndon coughed out, it was taken for classification or naming by an entomologist. Lyndon sent a picture of the insect to British Bugs, whose experts say it could possibly be the mayfly nymph.
