MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - In a statement with the The New 93Q, a radio station in Houston, the singer explained that their daughter, who was "absolutely beautiful in every way," died because of a medical condition. Rogers noted that the infant's brain was very sick but she passed away in their arms without pain, according to The Blaze.
"Good morning. Rumer passed away last night. She died after a week long battle with a very rare condition. She died in our arms and in no pain. She was absolutely beautiful in every way. Her brain however was very sick. I'm sure you all have many questions and we have all the answers the doctors gave us. We can share the story with you. It's quite an extraordinary one. A memorial will be planned soon. We love you," wrote Rogers, on the Facebook page of the radio station.
The family and the band asks fans to donate to any charity for children.
With the prior news of Rumer's birth leaving the fans rejoicing, the later posted message at the band's page left them feeling sad over the tragic loss their favorite country singer was experiencing.
Now, thousands of the fans are leaving messages of condolences, support and encouragement, as well as prayers for the couple and their family.
"My thoughts go out to Randy and Chelsea. I can not imagine your pain. In Rumer Rain Rogers' name I made a donation to Children's Hospice," wrote a Michelle Olson on Facebook.
