Japanese martyr. Born in Ochu province, Japan, he was a devoted Christian who entered the Jesuits while in prison after being arrested by Japanese authorities. He entered the order with the assistance of Blessed Charles Spinola. Peter was burned alive at Nagasaki on the same day that many other Christians were put to death.
