Blessed Monica Naisen was a Japanese Catholic who sheltered Blessed John Baptist Zola during the persecution. She was beheaded at Nagasaki in 1626 with her husband, Blessed John Naisen. Pope Pius IX beatified her in 1867; her feast is July 12.
