Saint Sturm was a Benedictine monk and the first abbot of Fulda. Formed by Saint Boniface, he devoted himself to prayer, missionary work, and the establishment of a stable monastic center in the German lands.

Sturm guided Fulda with discipline and fidelity, and the monastery became a place of learning, evangelization, and Christian culture. His life shows how monastic prayer can support the missionary work of the whole Church.
