Saint Salvador of Horta was a Spanish Franciscan lay brother who served God through humility, prayer, and works of mercy. He cared for the poor and the sick and became known for his compassion toward those who sought help.

Salvador bore misunderstanding and opposition with patience, trusting in Christ rather than in human approval. Pope Pius XI canonized him in 1938, recognizing the holiness of his hidden religious life and charitable service.
