Saint Sagar, also called Sagaris, was a bishop of Laodicea in Phrygia and an early shepherd of the Church in Asia Minor. He proclaimed the Gospel during a time when Christians faced pressure from pagan society and imperial suspicion.

Sagar was remembered as a martyr who sealed his faith with his life. The Church honors him as a faithful bishop who defended the apostolic confession and strengthened the people of God.
