Saint Paul Suzuki was a Japanese Catholic catechist and martyr who served the Christian community during the persecution of the Church in Japan. He instructed others in the faith and persevered in Christian hope when the authorities demanded apostasy.

Paul was crucified at Nagasaki on February 5, 1597, with the Twenty-Six Martyrs of Japan. Pope John Paul II canonized him in 1987 as a witness to the saving power of the Cross.
