Saint Largus was a Roman soldier and martyr who accepted the Catholic faith and refused to participate in pagan worship. He served Christ with courage during the persecution of the Emperor Diocletian.

Largus was put to death with his companion Saint Smaragdus because they would not deny the Lord. The Church honors them as early Roman martyrs whose fidelity strengthened the Christian community.
