Saint Julian of Mesopotamia was an early Christian ascetic who sought God through prayer, fasting, and solitude. He belonged to the tradition of holy men who withdrew from the world in order to intercede for the Church and grow in charity.

Julian’s life of repentance and steadfast faith helped strengthen Christians in Mesopotamia during a time of persecution and doctrinal conflict. He is remembered as a witness to the transforming grace of God and the holiness of the monastic vocation.
