Saint Conrad of Piacenza was an Italian nobleman who embraced a life of penance after a hunting accident led to the unjust destruction of a forest. He confessed the truth, accepted responsibility, and sought forgiveness through a life wholly dedicated to God.

Conrad became a hermit and later lived near Noto in Sicily, where he cared for the poor and practiced prayer and ascetic discipline. The Church remembers him as a model of repentance and conversion.
