Saint Oran of Iona was an Irish monk and one of the companions of Saint Columba who helped establish the monastery on the island of Iona. He belonged to the early missionary movement that carried the Christian faith throughout Scotland.

Oran served God through prayer, ascetic discipline, and obedience to the monastic community. His memory remained closely connected with Iona, where he was honored as one of the first witnesses of the monastery founded by Columba.
