Saint Odo of Cluny was a Benedictine monk and the second abbot of Cluny. Born into a noble family, he was drawn to the monastic life and became a faithful disciple of the Rule of Saint Benedict.

As abbot, Odo strengthened the Cluniac reform through prayer, disciplined community life, sacred music, and care for the poor. He worked for the renewal of the Church by calling monks and clergy to conversion of heart and fidelity to the worship of God.
