Saint Mugagga Lubowa was a Ugandan Catholic layman and martyr. He encountered the Christian faith through the preaching of the missionaries and the instruction of Saint Charles Lwanga, and he chose to remain faithful to Christ despite threats from the royal authorities.

Mugagga was killed at Namugongo on June 3, 1886, during the persecution of the Uganda Martyrs. His courage shows that holiness is offered to every member of the Church, and Pope Paul VI canonized him with the other Uganda Martyrs in 1964.
