Saint Mo Chutu, also called Mochuda, was an Irish monk and abbot associated with the monastery of Lismore. He was formed by the ascetical tradition of the Irish Church and became known for prayer, penance, learning, and pastoral care.
As a spiritual father, Mo Chutu guided monks and lay people toward conversion of heart and fidelity to the Gospel. The monastery at Lismore continued his work of prayer and evangelization, and his memory remains honored in Ireland.
