Saint Metrodora was a Christian virgin and martyr of the early Church. According to the ancient tradition, she suffered for Christ together with her sisters Menodora and Nymphodora, who had consecrated themselves to God.
The sisters remained faithful under interrogation and torture rather than renounce the Gospel. Metrodora was put to death and is honored with her companions as a witness to the strength of Christian faith and the hope of eternal life.
