St. Fridolin of Säckingen

Facts

Saint Fridolin of Säckingen was an Irish missionary who preached the Gospel in Gaul and along the Rhine. He founded monasteries and eventually established a Christian community on the island of Säckingen, where prayer and missionary activity flourished.

Though later legends surround his life, the Church remembers Fridolin as a faithful missionary and founder who carried the Gospel to new peoples and formed communities of Christian prayer and service.
