Saint Seraphin of Montegranaro was an Italian Capuchin friar known for his humility, prayer, and loving service to the poor. Born into a poor family in Montegranaro, he entered the Capuchin Order and spent his religious life performing humble duties with extraordinary fidelity.
Seraphin’s simple charity, reverence for the Eucharist, and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary drew many people to seek his prayers and counsel. He remained joyful in poverty and obedience until his death in Ascoli Piceno on March 12, 1604. He was canonized by Pope Clement XIII in 1767.
